Silvio Roncon in arte DJ SLIDE nasce a Torino. Da sempre porta con sé la passione e il fascino per questa professione artistica. Attribuisce ai due piatti e un mixer, una vera e propria dichiarazione d’amore, giurando fedeltà assoluta, pur venendo attualmente contaminato dall’era del digitale. I primi passi li muove negli anni 90, esibendosi nei piccoli clubs tra il Piemonte e Veneto, anni in cui la musica dance subisce una grande trasformazione. Il suo sound ricercato, principalmente underground, viene contaminato dai ritmi elettronici con una grande affinità alle sonorità deep house, movimento proveniente dall’america e nord Europa .Si inserisce con notevole successo portando all’ascolto i suoi dj set , lavorando nelle situazioni più tarde della notte, fino ai primi after hours del Veneto “New Age” e “Magic Bus”, dove può esprimersi al meglio. Il feeling che instaura con il pubblico, è molto comunicativo e di forte emozione, requisiti per lui indispensabili per continuare questa meravigliosa avventura.Ama spesso sperimentare nelle sue performance, avvalendosi di elementi esterni. Note sono le collaborazioni con il bassista Steave Logan, con il percussionista Maky Borsato e la cantante MOONY, ottenendone un risultato intrigante ed esplosivo. Determinato in questa scelta, con i propri mezzi a disposizione, riesce a toccare città come Londra nei clubs “Market Cafè” e “Babushca”, fino a Losanna in Svizzera. Nel 2000 collabora con il Kosmoparty, primo grande Open Party estivo a Treviso, curandone personalmente il “Severnaja privè”. Nel 2003 viene chiamato a partecipare alla “Street Parade” di Bologna a fianco dei migliori dj’s italiani, con i quali, attraverso una reciproca stima, stringe rapporti di collaborazione, fino a portarlo attualmente alla progettazione di “LOVE PROJECT 4 LIFE”. Un lavoro molto intenso ed ambizioso. Vale la pena spendere due parole a proposito. Tale progetto, del tutto Made in Italy, vuole essere la prima united italian dj’s impegnati socialmente, per raccogliere fondi a favore della ricerca e la prevenzione, per sostenere la lotta all’AIDS.
Un modo per dare voce, partecipando attivamente, alla continua emergenza nel nostro paese, e non solo. Per dire si alla vita. Un grande messaggio di comunicazione di massa, che ancora una volta, attraverso la musica, si vuole esprimere.

Silvio Roncon, a.k.a. DJ Slide, was born in Turin. He has always had a passion and fascination for this artistic profession. Although still deeply attached to the purity of the turntables and mixer, he acknowledges the influence of the digital era on his music. He took his first steps in the 90s, performing in small clubs between Piemonte and Veneto, the years in which dance music underwent a profound transformation. His sophisticated sound (mainly underground) is enriched by electronic rhythms combined with deep house vibes. He made his name playing late-night sets in the first Veneto after-hours parties in clubs such as New Age and Magic Bus. He enjoys the emotional connection with the public and loves to experiment in his performances by working with other artists. Most notable are his collaborations with the bass player Steve Logan, percussionist Maki Borsato, and the singer Moony, with intriguing and dramatic results. Determined in his chosen career, he has managed to play in cities such as London (Market Café and Babushka) and Lausanne in Switzerland. In the summer of 2000 he performed at the Kosmoparty, the first major open-air house music festival held in Treviso, where he personally supervised the Severnaja Prive stage. In 2003 he was asked to take part in the Street Parade in Bologna with the best Italian DJs. Their mutual respect sparked an ambitious all-Italian project called Love Project 4 Life, which marks the first collaborative fund-raising effort from Italian DJs for the fight against AIDS. This is a way to not only highlight the ongoing AIDS issue in Italy but also to actively help the cause. It’s a way to say yes to life. It’s once again a great message conveyed to the masses through music.
